[GB] Wind Studio X98 R2 (Southpaw)

Introducing X98 R2, a unique keyboard layout inspired by the Wind X (65%+numpad) + F row with additional function keys. Designed to address common issues with traditional 98% layouts, the X98 offers improved accessibility to arrow keys and enhanced comfort when pressing the 2U "0" key. Users who appreciate the flagship Wind X layout will find the X98 to be a compelling alternative.

Compared to standard 98% layouts, the X98 features arrow keys that are not offset to the left, more function keys, and a more ergonomically positioned 2U "0" key. Preserving the full layout of a traditional keyboard while saving desktop space, the X98 offers a versatile experience. The top case can be replaced to switch between normal and southpaw keyboard orientations.

Enjoy the flexibility of building either ANSI or ISO hotswap layouts without the need for soldering sockets - simply adjust the direction of the switches. For those desiring a CAPS indicator light, optional PC front accent pieces are available. Users can also customize the lighting preferences or turn it off using VIAL (Bluetooth PCB on LDN).

The X98 features a split PCB and plate design, with a 1.6mm no-flex-cut PCB paired with a 1.5mm plate to provide a comfortable and responsive typing experience.

All components, including the PCB, plate, and foam, are interchangeable between the normal keyboard and the southpaw keyboard, with the exception of the top case. Therefore, by purchasing a normal keyboard and an additional southpaw top case, you can easily transform it into a southpaw keyboard.
